
Bridging the Deductible Gap
The primary supplemental indemnity plan approach CAO works with is supplemental health plans. These plans assist employers with higher deductible health plans by providing a “bridge” between the current deductible and a higher deductible plan for their employees.
Supplemental health plans may lower costs and save employers more money than a lower deductible health plan. Employees are also able to maintain lower out-of-pocket exposure.
CAO works with other types of supplemental coverages such as short-term disability, accident, critical illness, and hospital coverages for their clients.
